Anthony Meo named National Player of the Week

Coastal Carolina junior and former Cranston West standout Anthony Meo was one of three players named Louisville Slugger National Player of the Week by Collegiate Baseball.

Meo pitched his first career no-hitter last week agaisnt Radford in the Big South Tournament. Meo, who retired the first 16 batters he faced, walked two and struck out nine.

Meo is 9-3 on the season with a 2.21 ERA. He has fanned 108 batters in 102 innings. He'll lead Coastal Carolina into the NCAA Tournament regionals on Friday when the Chants will play No. 16 UConn.
