Marshon Brooks, PC's leading scorer after the opening three games of the season, is still nursing a sore ankle. Brooks twisted his foot in Sunday's win over Mercer.

Brooks did not practice with the Friars on Tuesday and was limited in Wednesday's workout. Coach Keno Davis said he considers Brooks `day-to-day' as he continues to receive treatment. "I'm still hopeful that Marshon will be able to go on Friday."

PC will travel to Alabama on Thursday and play the Crimson Tide Friday night at 8 p.m. Alabama bounced back from a season-opening home loss to Cornell with a win over Jackson State on Tuesday.

In other PC news, one of the Friars' top recruits has begun his prep season in high style. Joe Young, a dynamic shooter from Houston's Yates High may play on the number one public high school team in the country. Yates was rated 8th in USA Today's pre-season poll and fourth by MaxPreps.com. Yates scored a whopping 140 points in its first game. Young poured home 33.
