George Washington faces the toughest schedule in Atlantic 10 play this season and Richmond the easiest, while URI also has a relatively soft slate in conference play.
At least those are the conclusions if the league's pre-season vote is accurate.
All teams in the conference play each other at least once. To get to 16 games, each school is paired with three others it meets twice. Only one team, George Washington, has been paired with three teams picked to finish in the top half of the conference.
GW meets Richmond (picked to finish third), La Salle (fourth) and Charlotte (seventh) for a total of 14. Richmond on the other hand must play Charlotte, GW and Saint Louis (12th) for a total of 32.
URI's opponents are Temple (tied for fifth), UMass (ninth) and Fordham (14th) for a total of 28.
Here are the totals for each team with degree of difficulty listed first.
1. GW 14
2-3 Saint Louis and Charlotte 18
4. Dayton 19
5. Fordham 21
6-7-8 UMass, Temple, Xavier, all 22.
9. Duquesne 24
10. Saint Joseph's 25
11. La Salle 27
12. URI 28
13. St. Bonaventure 29
14. Richmond 32
