Seawright will play in Spain

Kahiem Seawright left Wednesday for Spain, where he will play professional basketball this season.

The former URI star has signed with CB Tarragona of the Spanish Gold League. Among others, he will be in the same country where URI teammate Darrell Harris played last year and where recent Providence College grad Jeff Xavier also will be playing.

``I had other offers to play in France and Turkey,'' Seawright said. ``But both me and my agent thought this was the best option to begin my professional career.'
