Just a few weeks after landing a first verbal commitment for the Class of 2010, Keno Davis and his staff have struck again.

Ron Giplaye, a strong, 6-7 forward originally from the Boston area, has committed. He happens to be close friends and an AAU teammate with the Boston Amateur Basketball Club (BABC) with PC's first commit, guard Gerard Coleman.

Giplaye is regarded as a strong, aggressive forward who plays bigger than his size.

"I had Jeff Adrien (the UConn star forward) and Ron is that type of player. He'll make people's lives miserable with his strength," said Ryan Hurd, Giplaye's prep school coach at Notre Dame Prep in Fitchburg, Mass.

Hurd said Giplaye would frequently wear down opponents with his style of play. "Guys would back down from him. He just keeps on coming," said Hurd.
