The Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, which showcases the best college seniors for NBA scouts, tipped off Wednesday night. URI's Jimmy Baron and PC's Geoff McDermott were in action. PC's Weyinmi Efejuku and Rhody's Kaheim Seawright don't play until tonight. Baron wasn't bashful in his first game as he made 4 of 17 shots, with a 4-of-14 effort from the 3-point line. He finished with 12 points but his team lost, 70-63. McDermott's team won, 90-80, and the former Friar contributed 6 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists.
