obama0407.jpgPresident Barack Obama had decent success picking the results of the NCAA Tournament in ESPN's Bracket Challenge: His entry finished 903,125th out of the more than 5 million, comfortably inside the 80th percentile. And he accurately predicted that North Carolina would win it all.

Today the president was meeting religious leaders in Istanbul, Turkey, a gathering highly unlikely to produce talk of college hoops. And yet, according to a White House aide, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I -- the archbishop of Constantinople -- made a special note of it after talking about the accomplishments of Obama's overseas trip.

"Oh -- and by the way: congratulations on North Carolina," Bartholomew said. The aide said that the president, caught by surprised, smiled and laughed.
