The URI Rams, picked to finish ninth by Atlantic 10 coaches in the preseason, will go to the conference tournament as the number-two seed. It became official last night when Xavier defeated Dayton, 76-59. The Musketeers captured the number-one seed in Atlantic City; they could still finish the season with the same conference record as URI, but Xavier holds the tiebreaker edge as a result of its victory this season at the Ryan Center.

Rhode Island will play its first tournament game on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. against the winner of Wednesday's game between the seven and 10 seeds. The 10th spot in the conference currently belongs to UMass, but the seventh seed is anyone's guess. Four teams -- La Salle, Saint Louis, Richmond and St. Joseph's -- are tied for sixth in the conference right now.
