PISCATAWAY, N.J. - We're here at the Louis Brown Athletic Center - commonly known as The RAC - awaiting a very important Providence-Rutgers game.
If the Friars hope to build off their emotional, important win over No. 1 Pittsburgh, they need to win today. That would improve their record to 10-7 in the Big East and clinch a first round bye in the conference tournament. Since being an upper-division finisher in the powerful Big East is PC's top calling card, getting to 10 wins is vital.
PC jumped out to a fast lead when it played Rutgers at home two weeks ago. A similar start would be very fortunate today.
