The defense has been better than the offense thus far for URI, enough to give the Rams a 32-25 lead over Saint Louis at the half. Rhode Island has forced 11 turnovers and made it difficult for the Bllikens to run their offense. Lamonte Ulmer has been the offensive star with 12 points on 5-for-6 shooting from the field and 2-for-2 from the foul line. URI scored the game's first eight points. SLU closed to within 14-13 but has never led.
