PROVIDENCE - Get this. Providence College is rolling after one half, 44-26, over the top-ranked Pittsburgh Panthers. The Friars have continually drove by the Panthers with dribble-drives through the lane and that penetration has helped PC to 44 points on 52 percent shooting. The Friars are doing everything right, out-rebounding Pitt 19-14 and forcing the visitors into 10 turnovers that they've turned into 12 points. PC has 33 points in the paint with Jon Kale scoring 12 and Geoff McDermott getting 8. The Friars are feeding off a near sellout crowd that has responded very well to a wild, fun first half.
