Saint Louis will not have its head coach, Rick Majerus, on the sidelines today when the Billikens visit URI at the Ryan Center.

The Billikens just announced that Majerus is not even with the team. He stayed home to attend to a personal matter.

``My girlfriend was involved in a serious car accident,'' Majerus said in a statement released by the school. ``I had hoped to coach Saturday's game, but I feel compelled to help her at this difficult time.''

In his place, associate head coach Porter Moser will direct Saint Louis. Moser is a former head coach at Illinois State and Arkansas Little-Rock. He is a former player at Creighton. He came to Saint Louis when Majerus was hired last year.

The 2 o'clock game is a pivotal one for both schools. Both enter with 6-4 Atlantic 10 records. The Billikens have won four in a row, URI five of its last six.
