The URI basketball team just finished its practice at the Liacouras Center tonight and there is encouraging news on Keith Cothran.
The starting guard, who has missed five games with a knee injury, returned to practice. He did not do full work. Rather he worked primarily when the Rams were doing work in the halfcourt. But it was the first time in nearly three weeks Cothran was able to join his teammates on the court.
Mike Laprey, the URI sports information director, said Cothran probably should be upgraded, to use NFL terms, from doubtful to questionable for Sunday's game against Temple.
