STORRS, Conn. - Guess the Las Vegas oddsmakers aren't very impressed with Providence College's fast Big East start.

PC is a 13-14 point underdog according to the Vegas bookies for this afternoon's game at Connecticut. Guess it doesn't matter that the Friars swept the Huskies in two games a year ago and has won in their last four trip to UConn.

Obviously PC's 6-2 Big East start isn't catching everyone's eye just yet. The Friars' only win over a ranked team came in a 100-94 triumph over 15th ranked Syracuse. Each of the other five wins (Cincinnati twice, St. John's, DePaul, Seton Hall) have come over conference bottom-feeder squads.

Of course today's game is a totally different story. UConn is seen as a national title contender and could very well vault into the number one spot in the polls when votes are taken Monday if they can get by the Friars today at Gampel Pavilion.
