It took URI a while to get going today in its game against La Salle, but once it did Rhode Island took control. URI leads, 46-35 at the half in a very sloppy, and at times spectacular, game. Rhode Island fell behind 8-0. The Rams did not score on their first nine possessions and missed their first eight shots. URI is playing without Keith Cothran, who is missing his fourth game with a knee injury. Also, Jimmy Baron got hit below the left eye and had to miss some time. La Salle has had 15 turnovers, about half off the URI press.
