Fans are arriving with red faces, brought on by the frigid weather, but blue is the color of the night at the Ryan Center.
URI and Xavier are on the court, preparing for their Atlantic 10 game. The first 3,000 fans received Keaney blue t-shirt,s courtesy of Dunkin' Donuts and The Lot.
Even with school not yet in session, with the terrible weather and the game on television, URI officials say the crowd could reach 7,000. More than 500 students tickets have been distributed, about one-third of the normal number. Ticket windows have been busy tonight, too.
Xavier is ranked 15th in the country and is 13-2 overall. URI is 11-5. Game time is 8 p.m.
