| URI falls short again, loses 86-82 in Oklahoma City »
Down by as many as 10 points during the first half, the URI Rams closed the half with a 14-2 run and are in the locker room with a 44-38 halftime lead over Oklahoma State. URI has been frustrated at times by the defense of Travis Ford's team, which focused on denying Jimmy Baron shots. Baron was just 2 of 5 in the half for 4 points. But URI's depth came into play late in the half, as they seemed to have more energy in the final three minutes. Marquis Jones helped key the late run with consecutive 3-pointers; Jones leads the Rams with 15 points at the break. Kahiem Seawright (whose name is being spelled "Searight" in ESPN Classic's infographics) has 11 points on 5-of-5 shooting, but also two personal fouls. Guard James Anderson leads the Cowboys with 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting. The Rams are shooting 55 percent as a team. |
