This prediction was just e-mailed to me by Bill Reynolds: Who wins tomorrow? Here's one vote for the Friars. Not that I necessarily think they're better, but the game is at the Dunk. If it were at the Ryan Center I would like the Rams. Both teams are similar, in the fact they both want to push the ball, and both have defensive issues, especially inside. But as big as the game is for both teams, it's bigger for the Friars, who need it desperately to create the perception that this is a season to care about. That, and the fact it's in the Dunk, should give them the edge. But I wouldn't bet the ranch on it.

Mr. Reynolds may be right. The game is "huge" for PC given that PC will be a bottom dweller in the Big East!

Well PC lost to Northeastern in a close one and URI pretty much stomped Northeastern. So let's pick PC Hmmmn. Comparative score analysis rarely works.
Still, a contrary pick if I ever saw one.
But let's get one thing straight, this game is always WAY bigger for URI than for PC.
Pick a reason - there are many.
And yet you don't have to remember Rudy Williams throwing it in from the paint 90 ft away to want to see them play twice.
It does help, however.

URI shouldn't have put Baron in the freezer at half-time. Can you say ice cold in the 2nd half with only 1 bucket not to mention coming up limp with his jumper with 10 seconds to go. The Friars stole one. Let's go Friars. Looks like Reynolds had it spot on.
