When someone speaks about 23 points in a half during a URI game this season, the assumption is the discussion must be about one player, not an entire team.
Not tonight.
Rhode Island has just held New Hampshire to 23 first-half points, the lowest scored in any Rhody game this season. The previous low was Monmouth's 30 points in the first half against the Rams.
URI not only has held the Wildcats to 9-for-27 shooting, the Rams have forced 11 turnovers and turned those into 13 points. URI took control when it scored 10 straight points to turn a 12-10 lead into a 22-10 advantage. Delroy James, coming off the bench for the first time this season, has six points and five rebounds for the Rams.
