LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Louisville coach Rick Pitino says his team's problems aren't anything a little psychiatry couldn't fix.
The Cardinals have tumbled out of the Top 10 for the second time this season following a loss to Minnesota last week. Pitino blamed most of Louisville's woes on inconsistent play by his veterans and said changes could be in order on Saturday when the 19th-ranked Cardinals (7-2) host UAB (8-3).
Pitino said Louisville's biggest problem is attitude. He said some of his players are simply too moody and their mood affects the way they play on the floor.
The only way for the Cardinals to snap out of it, the coach said, is by staying positive even in tough times. Whatever it is, Louisville needs to improve quickly. The Cardinals play UNLV on New Year's Eve then host rival Kentucky on Jan. 4.
