PROVIDENCE -- Forget that talk about getting off to a quick start.
The Friars fell behind 11-0, looking dead and tired for some unknown reason. But St. John's quickly reverted to form. The Storm lacks good guard play and 13 first half turnovers led to 19 PC points and Providence leads at the break, 33-25.
PC answered SJU's 11-0 start with a 29-8 run to build a 29-19 lead. The Friars shot 39 percent in the first half with Marshon Brooks scoring 9 points and Sharaud Curry looking good with 6 points and 4 assists.
