A night in Jersey

We're here. The URI basketball team has made it to Teaneck to play Fairleigh Dickinson tonight. Normalyl that might not be news, but considering the difficulty getting around in the Metopolitan area, it is an accomplishment.

It took almost two hours for this reporter to make it the last 30 miles. The Rams came in yesterday, so they are fine and seem to be raring to go.

The opponent tonight is not strong. FDU is 1-9. It has lost all eight non-conference games, by a total of 232 points.

Ten minutes before game time, there are only a couple hundred fans here. There are more URI sweatshirts than FDU shirts.
