ANAHEIM - Ugly.
In a word, that is what the Friars looked like in their first half in the 76 Classic. PC got off to a horrific 1-of10 shooting start and never really recovered in a horrible offensive first half. PC trails Baylor 36-22.
The Friars made just 7-of-31shots and were an embarrasing 6-of-14 from the free throw line. They missed seven in a row from the charity stripe at one point.
PC came into the game with plenty of confidence after putting up buckets of points but the Friars quickly learned that when defenders crawl into their jerseys life is a bit different. The open 3-pointers that were there against Sacred Heart and Maine aren't there now. When open looks occur, they are not knocking them down.
Jon Kale leads the Friars with eight points.
