Today we discuss what Providence gained from its three recent wins against weaker competition, preview Thursday night's late game against Baylor, profile Arizona State star James Harden (who may await the Friars on Friday night), and talk about what Kevin would like to see out of the Friars this weekend.
Here's what Kevin said about the Baylor game:
"Baylor returns basically everybody of importance from a team that won 21 games [and] went to the NCAA Tournament, where it lost in the first round to Purdue. [They have] very good guards. Curtis Jerrells is one of the better guards in the Big 12. LaceDarius Dunn -- they have some great names -- LaceDarius Dunn, Tweety Carter and Curtis Jerrells kind of form the bulk of their backcourt. And you know, Providence is a guard-dominated team as well, with Sharaud Curry and Weyinmi Efejuku and Jeff Xavier, Brian McKenzie. So it really will be a matchup of guards, and I think it will be very interesting to see how the Friars can defend such a good core of players like Baylor has."
