ANAHEIM - The Friars are almost set to tip against St. Mary's College in their final game at the 76 Classic. The start is slightly delayed due to an overtime win by Cal-Fullerton over Charlotte.
The Friars face a stiff test today and come in a slight (4 point) underdogs. The Gaels are led by All-American candidate Patrick Mills. The Australian point guard may be the best lead guard in the country and with the possible exception of Jonny Flynn of Syracuse and Tyrese Rice of Boston College he may be the best PG the Friars will face all season.
PC also must contend with some strong big men, namely Diamon Simpson. The 6-7 senior is averaging 10 rebounds a game, as is 6-11 center Omar Samhan.
