ANAHEIM - The Providence Friars struggled all night and fell to Baylor, 72-56 in the first round of the 76 Classic tonight.
PC shot 22 percent in a horrific first half as it fell behind 36-22. The Friars were better in the second half but could never mount a serious run at the Bears. PC did get to within eight points (63-55) but that was as far as they could come.
PC will play Charlotte in the tourney's second round Friday at 10 p.m.
