Ray Hall all done at PC

Ray Hall, the junior center from Denver on the Providence College basketball team, will no longer play at the school due to injury.
Hall, a strong 6-11 and 270-pounder, has extensive leg injuries that doctors saw cannot heal if he continues his basketball career. Hall will remain at PC and hopes to graduate in 2010. He could continue his hoops career at some point but that likely won't be advisable until after he leaves college.
Hall was seen as a potential backup big man this season. He's the only Friar big man capable of overpowering opposing centers with his size. Hall's minutes in his first two seasons at Providence were limited and he was expected to play behind Randall Hanke and Jon Kale again this season.
Keno Davis and his assistants have grabbed verbal commits from five recruits but no true center is in that pack. Look for the Friars to shop extensively for a rebounding big man in the next few months, perhaps dipping into the JUCO ranks or accepting a transfer at mid-semester.

Terrible news. Ray Ballz was the Friars only real big guy not to mention a fan favorite. Hope Keno can find a big body to replace his size.
