Just got off the phone with Worcester Academy coach Eddie Reilly and there is no news with Blake McLimans, the 6-10 shooting big man from Buffalo now at the New England prep power.
McLimans visited Michigan over the weekend but has not committed to the Wolverines. Reilly said he was still waiting to speak with McLimans but did not know of any committment, which has been rumored among Wolverine fans. McLimans took in the huge Michigan-Michigan State football game over the weekend.
McLimans visited PC's (much smaller, tamer) campus two weekends ago and is reportedly very interested in joining Keno Davis' program.
There is a chance McLimans picks UM or PC any day now or takes more visits. Reilly said the big man has become one of the most popular recruits he's ever had over the last few weeks. Worcester is loaded this year with 8 Division One players on hand, including West Greenwich's Ben Crenca (headed to Vermont) and West Warwick's Sam Martin (Yale). Reilly also said that 6-9, 230-pound big man Daymon Warren recently committed to George Washington of the Atlantic 10.
We'll see what happens with McLimans......
