As expected, Buffalo native Blake McLimans has verbally committed to Michigan this morning after narrowing his choices to UM and Providence.
McLimans is a 6-10 shooting big man who should fit perfectly into John Beilein's system at Michigan. McLimans may seem a lot like Kevin Pittsnogle in a few years. He also would've looked great in Keno Davis' system at PC and the Friars worked the Worcester Academy student very hard over the last month.
Davis has five verbals in hand in a class that needs to rejuvenate the Providence program. The Friars are still shopping and are in the market for a true point guard (Chris Colvin anyone?) and a skilled big man like McLimans. It's early, but look for PC to be open to a transfer for a big man and also explore the junior college ranks.
At least he choose a non Big East School.....Give Keno credit for getting this far with a kid from Buffalo..
At least Syracuse didn't get him
