URI has secured a verbal commitment from Orion Outerbridge, a 6-9 forward from Boston who plays at New Hampton (NH) Prep. Outerbridge has been one of the Rams' top recruiting priorities for the freshman class of 2008.
Outerbridge is the latest in a very large group of players who've pledged to Jim Baron's program. He is the sixth player who could enroll next fall but as the group grows it is becoming apparent that URI may not take all of them at one time.
Outerbridge and New Jersey's (6-8) Ryan Brooks are the headliners of the new class. They're joined by point guard Stevie Mejia, 7-footer John Hagerty, and guards Jamal Wilson and Randy Dezouvre.

How would you compare Jim Baron's recruiting to that of some of his past peers: Brendan Malone, Jim Harrick, Al Skinner, et al.
