The Providence College men’s basketball squad announced its annual team awards at a banquet Thursday night at the Biltmore Hotel.
Herbert Hill won both the Jimmy Walker Most Valuable Player Award and the Marvin Barnes Defensive Player Award. Hill was a 1'st team All-Big East pick and is currently working out in preparation for the NBA Draft.
Sophomore Jonathan Kale earned the Unsung Hero Award. Junior Charles Burch received the John Zannini Coaches’ Award. Sophomore walk-on Chris Baudinet was presented with the Thomas Ramos Award for the top grade point average on the team. Guard Weyinmi Efejuku won the Coca-Cola Most Improved Player Award and freshmen Brian McKenzie and Dwain Williams shared the team’s Promising Prospect Award.
