THE SCOUTING REPORT
FORDHAM (14-11, 7-6 in the Atlantic 10): The Rams from the Bronx need one more win to clinch the school's first winning season since 1991-92. The team also is bidding to match the school record of nine A-10 victories it had last season. . . Dunston, who has hurt URI badly throughout his career, had 29 points in the first meeting with URI, including all but two Fordham had in the second half. . . Butler, a freshman, comes in off career high 28 points in victory over Duquesne Wednesday. . . The team is 10-2 when it commits fewer turnovers than its opponent. . . Team is holding opponents to 62 points per game over its last 10 starts.
URI (17-11, 10-4): Rhody closes out its home season. It is 11-3 at the Ryan Center, the fourth time in its five years in the building it has won at least 10 times. . . The shooters obviously love Ryan. The team is shooting 49.2 percent overall and 42.1 percent on 3-pointers at home. . . The 45 points URI scored in the first game against Fordham is 11 fewer than the team has scored in any other game. . . Daniels needs 37 points to reach 1,000 for his career. . . Bitee is in shooting slump. Beginning with the game at Fordham, he is 6-for-37 from the field in the last six games. . . . With is five-for-five from foul line at Xavier, Baron is back up to 90.3 percent from the stripe.
