PC's up-and-down Big East season continued in Milwaukee today with a 69-62 loss to Marquette.
The Friars were hoping to build on last week's impressive road win at Connecticut but Marquette beat PC at their own game, winning the rebound battle and making some key 3-pointers. The Golden Eagles won their seventh straight game and improved to 20-4 on the season. They are ranked 14th in this week's AP poll.
PC was hoping to make it two wins this season over Marquette but it couldn't dominate the inside like it had in a 74-59 win last month. PC was outrebounded 42-29 and was hurt by 16 turnovers.
Sharaud Curry led PC with 17 points. Herbert Hill added 14 but wasn't dominant in the lane like he's been at times this season. PC is back in action Tuesday at home against Cincinnati.

Why did the officials allow a Marquette hoop to count when that player committed an offensive charging foul prior to the act of shooting, yet did not allow Curry's shot to count when he committed an offensive foul after releasing his shot?
