The PC Friars are in Bridgeport, Conn., this morning preparing for tonight's road game against Fairfield. Here are some notes leading up to the game.
**The Friars will again be without DeSean White. The sophomore forward remains in a mobilization boot due to a broken bone near his left big toe. He has not practiced with the team at all for the last month. While he has removed the boot and worked out to some degree over the last week, he hasn't played basketball. That could change this week, however. It is conceivable that White starts practicing this week and sees some time Saturday against Rhode Island.
**There is no chance Dwight Brewington returns to the team. He has yet to even speak with Tim Welsh about any potential return and seems intent on moving on. While the school has said he'll remain on campus through the spring, more than one source said this weekend that Brewington is looking for another school (Liberty U.??) to jump to.
**Be afraid, be very afraid of Wednesday's trip to Wichita State. The Shockers lost 4 starters off a 22-win team that beat PC last season but a recent story in the Wichita Eagle contends this teamis better than last year's. If so, the Friars will face a tough, good-shooting team in front of a sellout crowd. Be very afraid.

KMac,
You forgot the greatest "Wheatshocker" of them all in your article the other day - Dave "The Rave" Stallworth, future Knick star who's career was cut short by a heart attack.
See you at the Dunk.
